How to Use

⚠️ REVERSE POLARITY & STEP-UP OPERATIONAL MANDATES:

1. This is strictly a Step-Up (Boost) converter. The output voltage must always be set higher than the input voltage. If your input voltage exceeds your output target, the module will pass the raw, unregulated input voltage directly through to the output pads, which could damage your load.

2. The module does not include built-in input reverse polarity protection. Double-check your positive (+) and negative (-) connections with a multimeter before powering the circuit. Reversing the input wires will instantly destroy the internal components.

3. If your continuous workload pushes total power dissipation beyond 10 Watts, you must install an external aluminum heatsink onto the underside exposed copper plane of the board to prevent thermal overload.

Physical Pinout Connections:

• IN+: Unregulated/Regulated Low DC Input Positive wire (3V to 35V).

• IN-: Common Input Ground reference wire.

• OUT+: Boosted Regulated DC Output Positive wire (4V to 40V).

• OUT-: Common Output Ground reference wire.

Quick Calibration Steps:

1. Securely solder your unpowered input lines to the IN+ and IN- pads, ensuring correct orientation.

2. Connect a digital multimeter set to DC Voltage mode across the OUT+ and OUT- output pads.

3. Turn on your primary low-voltage input power source.

4. Calibrate Output Voltage: Use a small flathead screwdriver to turn the brass screw on top of the blue multi-turn potentiometer. Note: If the output voltage initially matches the input voltage, turn the screw counter-clockwise for 15 to 20 full rotations until the voltage readout on your multimeter begins to step up. Turn clockwise to lower the voltage target once it is active.

5. Once your multimeter reflects your exact target voltage, cut power, connect your load across OUT+ / OUT-, and re-engage the power supply.
