Standard stubby antennas mounted directly on a cellular module inside an enclosure often suffer from severe signal degradation. This adhesive patch antenna overcomes this by providing a flexible 3-meter long RG174 coaxial cable, enabling you to position the radiating element outside the enclosure or near a window where signal reception is optimal.

The antenna features a slim plastic-molded housing with a high-tack 3M adhesive strip pre-applied to the back. It sticks instantly to glass, acrylic, PVC, or fiberglass surfaces. Operating across quad-band GSM/GPRS frequencies (850/900/1800/1900 MHz) as well as 3G UMTS bands, it ensures reliable cellular data transmission and SMS alerts across various network carriers. It comes terminated with a threaded SMA Male connector for a low-loss, secure connection to GSM modems and development boards.

How to Mount & Connect

1. Surface Preparation: Clean the target mounting area (glass window, plastic enclosure, or wall plate) with isopropyl alcohol to remove dust and oil before peeling off the 3M tape backing.

2. Attaching the Patch: Peel the protective film off the adhesive backing on the antenna body and press the patch firmly against the surface for 10 seconds.

3. Cable Routing: Route the 3-meter RG174 cable back to your cellular equipment. Avoid sharp $90^circ$ bends or pinching the cable in metal door frames to prevent signal attenuation.

4. Connecting: Screw the brass SMA Male connector onto the SMA Female port of your GSM module (e.g., SIM800C, SIM900, SIM7600) until hand-tight. For micro-boards like SIM800L that use a u.FL connector, use an IPEX-to-SMA Female pigtail adapter.
